Heaven Bound Trio

Heaven Bound Trio, formerly known as The Rock Quartet, was founded on Easter Sunday of 2019. Four members of Rock Springs Baptist Church—Larry Jones, Meghan Jones, Jacob Mullinax, and Shellie Marthers—in Blacksburg, South Carolina, felt called to launch a music ministry dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, with the prayerful intention of leading souls to salvation. Drawing inspiration from Psalm 95:1 (KJV), "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation," the group originally took the name "The Rock Quartet." Each member stands on the truth that Jesus is the Rock of our salvation—meaning our faith is solid, firm, strong, and unbreakable.

When the ministry began in 2019, every member was deeply rooted in leadership at their home church: Larry Jones had served as Choir Director for 21 years, Jacob Mullinax as Associate Pastor, Shellie Marthers as Sunday School Director, and Meghan Jones as Children’s Ministry Coordinator. Through prayer and supplication, the group stepped away from those local church positions to dedicate their time fully to this expanding call.

Now entering our eighth year of ministry in 2026, we average around 160 events each year, ministering to congregations across South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and beyond. We remain deeply grateful for every door the Lord has opened so far, and we look forward with great expectation to where He will lead us in the years ahead!
